To be honest it might be a fail in spelling and there is a mistake, I don't think it matters.
This person got the tattoo and I'm sure with the meaning explained when they are going through a hard time they look at it to mind themselves that the hard time will pass, not that they should have took extra English classes.

Wow, a quick google (or a 12th grade reading level) before you went to the tattoo parlor would've saved you a lifetime of embarrasment. Maybe the artist can work in the additional needed "o" to make it too without it looking too crappy.
Upon seeing that tat, my first reaction is, "What a dumbass."
