Of meaning to me...

Fil-Am Patriot & Daddy's Girl
Representative of my bipolar disorder
Represents my career as a registered nurse
This tat represents several things all in one package. Firstly, the flags...I'm Filipina-American which is represented by the Filipino and US flags. In the top banner the years of service I did in the Air Force are stated. The girl is representative, again, of my military service. The second banner indicates my remembrance of my dad who passed in 1972. I hope that he would be proud of my service to country.
The snake around the wine glass is an adaptation of the Cup of Hygeia which in fact is the true symbol of nursing not the caduceus. I have been a nurse for over 20 years and will be leaving the profession sometime this year.
The wrist tattoo is basically my being sarcastic toward those who don't understand bipolar disorder or those people who are afflicted with this disease...including me (since 1996/1997).
