Ship Tattoo
I love songs about ships. Books about em, stories, movies, whatever. I just like ships man.
Ships where the first way that humans travelled the earth other than by foot. I love to travel. I like to think of life as a voyage and this ship is my vessel that gets me through it.
It's also a reminder of a few important things to me. The dark clouds are hard times. The sun set, though beautiful, represents hard times to come. The sun is setting right below the moon. That means there was a total solar eclipse and everything was dark for a breif moment. Although this is a magnificent event to see, it represents hard times in the past.
The clouds, sun, and eclipse all symbolise the duality of life as well seeing as how they are all beautiful but scary at the same time. Just think your on a ship at sea.. choppy waters, a thunderstorm abrewin and nightfall is setting in.
Sheesh thats scary!
This is just part of a sleeve thats not done though.
A light house on the inside of the arm will represent security through these hard times. Marijuana plants growing up a cliff from the water to the light house represents something to help us with these hard times. Hidden in the plants will be sorta small but if you get to lookin you will see "gen. 1:29" stating that god has given us these plants to use.
Below these tats we will venture into the ocean with a couple sharks a school of fish some lyrics from one of my favorite songs by a band called 'brand new' that go "past the port I see the light house through the sleet and the rain"
The oceans bottom will be on my wrist. The inside of the wrist will have a ship that has wrecked representing the fact that we all die someday. The other side of the wrist will have an anchor with a chain atached but will only go up a little ways and the last link will be broken. (illustrating lyrics from the same song as befor that go "It was a quarter past four, in the morning when the storm broke our second anchor line."
