My Frog Tattoo

Well, I got my frog tattoo for my eighteenth birthday. Now it may seem like I just got a frog as a tattoo because I would want to express my freedom now that I was of legal age. But, this wasn't case. I was right out of highschool and getting ready to go into college when I was diagnosed with a disease that was going to change my life forever. I was suddenly having to take seven different medicines everyday, eating a super strict diet and facing multiple surgeries in the near future. Suddenly I felt like I had no control over my life. It wasn't fair to me either. This was supposed to be the time of my life, and all of a sudden, it was my worst nightmare. So, I decided to get a tattoo of something I wanted, because I could control that one thing. Today i still consider this experience one of the most exillerating and freeing experiences of my life.
